Finally, after a very long wait, the story seekers podcast is finally (or will be in a little bit) up!!

Please make any comments and suggestions here, it's isn't nearly as long as staff chats- only 20 minutes! Also, I'm sorry about the static, it was my first time recording and I'm not sure how to get rid of it... anyway!

As of 10:29 CST file currently is not up, this post will be edited when it does go up.

Hosts: LovlyRita, Springtime

Stories: Snow Red by GubraithianFire: Link
Names by Pogonotrophy (no longer available on the archive)
The Fastest Yet by Racing Co Link

I really enjoyed this! It was great to see lesser-known stories and authors get advertised, and both of you did a great job at introducing the stories (even if the author's names kept throwing you for loops, lol). :)

You did an outstanding job. I am so sorry that I couldn't be a part of this with you. It really turned out fantastically. Well done, and congratulations.

So, have the authors given me the go ahead to read these stories? Because if so, I can get started :).

Alex- I'll send out some mail to these authors...I know only one is on the forums, I'm not sure about the other two. I'll let you know soon.

Thanks everyone for the kind words so far, I'm so happy to see that it's getting a positive response! :)

Oh! That was such a lovely podcast! I absolutely love the idea!! There are so many wonderful stories that need to be read and REVIEWED!!!!

This was the first podcast I've listened to by HPFF, and I must say I loved it!! I couldn't stop laughing when you were trying to pronounce those author names!! That happens to me all the time!

Anyway, great job! Looking forward to more!!

Such a wonderful idea to create this. Honestly, I never had much interest in the Harry Potter Podcasts, no offense, but I thought I would try one with the current contest for the House Cup. I love to find stories that aren't well known are leave a much deserved review, but it is hard to figure out which are worth our time. This will definitely give me some places to start! Also, do you notify authors when you feature their stories? I think that would be a great idea and mean a lot to those select few you choose! I just looked for the Next-Gen Albus centered one, Names and was unable to find it on the archive! I am so disappointed, but I guess it happens and authors leave the site.

Ahh, this is a great place to come for reccomendations. I haven't had a chance to look up the ones discussed yet - but I hope to soon. The one about Astoria being locked in the tower (Snow Red) sounds very interesting. I have to say, the one that caught my eye (or ear) the most was "names" - the one about Albus Potter. I think I'll read that one as soon as I can, because it sounds very interesting and touching.

It's great to listen to you discuss people's stories and a great place to find good ones to read. It inspires me to go suggest some stories for Story Seekers, which I have done before but I should do again soon!

There did seemt to be a little bit of static, but it was fine! Thank you for recording this, I enjoyed it a lot :)

I loved the beginning and the music. Starting with Snow red was interesting. I loved the rhyme, I don’t know why but it made me laugh - I'm definitely going to look for it. Names sounds like something that I'd also like because it's a Next Gen and lord knows I love those. And you are right, these stories sound wonderful. I'll be looking for them soon.

I think it's a wonderful idea this podcast is now available because I know HPFF has even more amazing stories.I believe I have found a new way of keeping me company while on the Forums. Thank you, :)

The inaugural episode! :D I think I actually may have listened to this before but never reviewed...oops! Well, I'm here now, and better late than never.

Anyway, I've read another of GubraithianFire's stories and she is a wonderful writer. I actually never realized that Snow Red was about Draco and Astoria, which is one of those pairings that I like but haven't read much of...so now I really want to go check that one out! :)

As someone else mentioned, there was some static, but that was really the only thing that was a drawback to this episode. :) One thing that was great about listening to this was to see how Story Seekers has evolved over time. This was a great start, but now to see how it's grown to involve much more discussion, and even guest panelists...I'm very happy that it's kept its forward momentum since this first episode. Or, rather, I should say that I'm glad that the people behind it (especially LovlyRita) have kept their motivation and commitment up, even when we were being a bit apathetic. So, I guess what I'm saying is, great work on taking it from this first podcast to where you are today! :)

That was such an entertaining podcast to listen to. Not only was LovlyRita completely personable and a joy to listen to, but the stories that were suggested really caught my interest. I am not a big reader of the stories on the archives, mostly because there are so many of them to choose from. This podcast helped point me in the direction of some really good reads that I may be interested in. I also loved the analysis of the stories and there were times when LovlyRita had me cracking up laughing with all her funny little comments. It was a delight to listen to. She reminds me of a radio announcer with how well she handles speaking aloud. Springtime was harder to hear, but I still loved how she added some nice commentary for the stories. The static was a problem at times, but I was having so much fun listening to this podcast that it was easy to ignore.

Fantastic work.

The first story seekers ever! It was a great podcast. I love the idea of letting more readers know about stories that are out there but aren't very well known. It gives hope to us writers that more people may discover their stories and review. Great job LovlyRita and Springtime! The static was there but not very distracting at all.

I love the reading of the summaries. It lets the listener know what the stories are about. Both "Snow Red" and "Names" sounds interesting. "The Fastest Yet" sounds very intriguing. Not something I would normally look for to read. I can't wait to read them. I'm definitely starting a list of stories to read and review now.

Thanks again LovlyRita and Springtime.

I really love the idea of the Storyseekers and it's fun to go back and listen to your older episodes and kind of see how things have changed and evolved :) Snow Red sounds really beautiful and I can't wait until I have a chance to go and read it. I'm a big fairytale fan, so it sounds great. I wasn't able to find "Names" on HPFF which is a shame because I really wanted to read it. Is there a link somewhere or is the story not up anymore?

The podcast was really great. The hosts are so personable and I love how they are not above laughing at themselves. The static wasn't too distracting. It was a little hard to hear Springtime sometimes, so I ended up turning my ipod up all the way, meaning that LovlyRita was sometimes screaming in my ear, but I still enjoyed listening :p
"Even if it's a dumb story, telling it changes other people just the slightest little bit, just as living the story changes me. An infinitesimal change. And that infinitesimal change ripples outward--ever smaller but everlasting. I will get forgotten, but the stories will last. And so we all matter--maybe less than a lot, but always more than none." -John Green, An Abundance of Katherines
