Oh my goodness, the moment when SnitchSista revealed that she was an extra in HBP was hilarious! Alex's reaction was amazing, and I loved that the podcast in which she did indeed tell us "everything about everything, and also everything" was titled the exact same as Alex originally said here. :)

I hope the staff will be doing a chat either for the DH trailer that was already released, or for one that comes out in the coming months...I really enjoyed hearing what you all thought about the HBP trailer, and what your expectations were for the movie. Of course, now that we've all seen the movie, the magic is a bit lost, but it would be neat to hear what the staff think about the new movie trailer(s) coming out. I loved how you guys played the trailer and dissected it! Hearing it over again, I'm surprised that I never noticed how light and humourous the first trailer you played sounded...I did enjoy the levity in HBP, but I was disappointed by how much they sacrificed to keep the tone light. And then I realized, when you guys were talking about "the Chosen One" being used in HBP despite the lack of conversation about the prophecy in OotP—did they ever actually explain that exchange between him and Hermione (i.e. why he was considered the Chosen One)? Tsk tsk...

You briefly mentioned your dilemma with long, random chats vs. short, focused ones, and I thought I'd throw in my feedback. I think what makes the longer chats enjoyable is when you're really engaged, and there are no big pauses or slowing of the conversation. It's great and fun to listen to when the people chatting are enthusiastic, however long or short the chat is. It's just when they're long and everyone seems to be a bit more blah or hesitant about the discussion that my attention begins to wander.

Great job again! :)

I agree with Pennyardelle that I really liked hearing what you thought was going to happen when you first saw the half-blood prince trailer. I remember when they came out and I was totally excited about the movie, especially when I saw the darker one. I remember being completely creeped out by the young Tom Riddle and thought the kid did such a good job.

The parts that really made me laugh were:

-the bong sound made to bleep out Alex's curse word. I thought it was funny because I have never heard Alex use curse words that are considered 12+, let alone a bad one and that was what made that part so funny.
-I thought the part where SnitchSista was doing the Hermione and Harry impersonations to be really funny, especially with the mention of the eyebrows.

As for whether you should have more structure, I think you don't need too much organization because I like the rambling, natural chat that goes on in the staff chats. It makes the chats more personable. And some of the tangents are so funny!
Awesomely cute icon by Keroberros.

It's really funny listening to things like this so long after the fact. The HBP trailer is so much old news now – indeed, the whole HBP film is so much old news – that it's almost a trip down memory lane to hear people talking about it.

Favourite line: "You could use the fifth novel to beat a whale to death if you wanted to." Alex, I think there may be some room for you on some Japanese whaling vessels, if you need a part-time job. :)

This was a more interesting discussion than usual though because of Snitchy being an extra in the film – even though she wasn't allowed to say much (understandably) it was still something additional that certainly isn't there in most movie discussions. It does seem a shame that most of the extras on the set weren't fans of the HP series, though – such a wasted opportunity!

I had to giggle when Alex loaded up the wrong trailer for HBP – a fan-made one? I'd almost like to see it! Not enough to push up the YouTube views of that particular clip, but almost. :)

Okay, Snitchy talking about addressing Emma Watson about impersonating her had me in stitches. Fortunately this time I wasn't on the bus but I still got some strange looks from those around me … public places are a little dangerous when it comes to podcast-listening, I find. I've noted before that Snitchy does a brilliant Emma Watson voice but I hadn't realised she did the eyebrows too … I would ADORE to see that if given the opportunity.

I too would love to see Stephen Fry in some role or other in the series, but I do think that Chris Barrie can only really play Chris Barrie and I can't think of any characters in the HP books who might fit that role. Going back to old podcasts, though, I too would love to see Judi Dench as Augusta Longbottom. That'd be brilliant.

The sound quality of this podcast was good but I will say that Snitchy's microphone could have been turned up a bit more as it was a bit hard to hear her sometimes. Aside from that, no complaints at all. As I've said before these are getting progressively better and this followed that trend so very well done. I particularly enjoyed the gong instead of bleeping Alex's slip of the tongue – it was much more entertaining and less grating on the ears.

Great podcast!
Cheers, Mel :)

I found it so great to hear what you all thought was going to be cut out of the film and how Snitchsista was an extra! totally jealous of her. and I would have loved for her to stand behind the actors and do their voices to confuse them. I can imagine a whole thing between her and Emma
Emma: "stop doing that!" *eyebrow acting*
Snitchy as Emma: "no you're copying me!" *eyebrow acting to be Emma*
Emma: "I'm Emma Watson!"
Snitchy: "no I'M Emma Watson"
Director to Snitchy: "Emma prepare for your scene and get out there! Extra go back to being in the background"
And that is how Snitchy will steal Emma's job! a foolproof plan!
And the talk about Hermione and Draco pairings and how it's unrealistic and how if Draco is in the hosp Harry and Ron may start to like him hehe I was thinking of a love square lol
And the beeped out word Alex said naughty naughty hehe
I remember when the trailer came out and I was so excited that I downloaded it to put on my ipod so I could watch the trailer all the time haha
The sound quality was good, but it did sound a bit like Snitchy was outside sometimes? maybe she was who knows?
